Smithville Marina

10/19/14
Today we were in the "Canal Section" of the Tenn-Tom Waterway. We were traveling with 8 looper boats. We went through 4 locks today. The Whitten lock brought us down 85 ft. The Montgomery & Rankin Locks brought us down 30 ft., and the Fulton Lock brought us down 25 ft. We wanted to go through the Wilkins Lock, but there was a delay because a commercial tow was going through northbound. After Hooper told us he had enough for the day by throwing up on the flybridge and looking nervous like something might come out the other end, we decided to stop at Smithville Marina. Hooper was fine after Al took him on a good walk.

Tomorrow we plan to go to Columbus Marina.
