Demopolis Yacht Basin

10/24-25/14
We have reached the end of the Tenn-Tom Waterway and now are on the Black Warrior - Tombigbee Waterway. We went to Kingfisher Bay Marina which is the newer part of Demopolis Yacht Basin. Since this will be our last marina for more than 226 miles until we get to Mobile, we decided to stay an extra day to relax and reprovision. Going forward we will be putting in long days because there aren't many good anchorages where we can take Hooper to shore.

In our travels today we went past the white cliffs of Epes. They are part of the Selma Chalk formations which were deposited at about the same time as England’s famous white cliffs of Dover.
