Cotton Springs Anchorage

10/18/14
We have begun the downhill run to Mobile Bay. We will lock down 341ft. over a distance of 450 miles.
We left Grand Harbor Marina this morning with several other looper boats. We made our way on the Tenn-Tom Waterway, through a 25 mile section known as "Divide Cut", then out onto Bay Springs Lake. Once out on the lake the waterway really opens up and there are multiple great places to anchor. We chose the Cotton Springs anchorage because it was close to the lock and had a boat ramp close by with a floating dock, which makes it easy to take Hooper to shore at night.

Tomorrow we plan to go through the Jamie Whitten Lock.
