Canajoharie, NY

It's was another hot & humid day. We haven't been this hot since we were in Thailand. We went through 6 locks today, numbers 8-13. Lot's of logs & debris in the locks. Al has been leary of using the thrusters in the locks. He doesn't want the debris to go into the thrusters & break the blades. That happened to us in Georgia when a branch went into the stern thruster.
We stopped at Riverfront Park in Canajoharie, which has a free floating dock with electric in a park setting. Canajoharie is an Iroquois Indian word meaning " pot that washes itself", a reference to the "Canojoharie Boiling Pot", a circular gorge in the creek, just south of the village. I was able to ride my bike to see the boiling pots.
Tomorrow we plan to head to the town of Little Falls.

Trains run right along the Erie

Erie Canal work boats

It was raining when we arrived
