Frankfort

Another rough day on Lake Michigan! It was cloudy and cold. Of course the waves were bigger than forecasted. At least things improved as the day went on. It was fairly calm by the time we got to Frankfort, and the sun came out.

The shoreline from Leland to Frankfort is part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Park. It has massive 480-foot-tall sand dunes, white beaches and a backdrop of forests.

Tomorrow we plan to cross Lake Michigan and go to Wisconsin.
