Alligator River Marina

We really enjoyed Coinjock Marina. The first night we enjoyed awesome prime rib dinners. The next day we were reunited with our good friends from the Loop, Row and Gus, on Summerland.

Being at that marina was like being at a boat show. It was amazing to see all the big beautiful boats that stopped at this marina. Most were much bigger and fancier than us.

Albermarle Sound has not been kind to us in the past, and today was no different. We rolled side to side pretty good, but made it through. We were happy it was a short day. Thank goodness there weren't that many crab pots out today. It's really tough to see them when it's rough.

We were happy to pull into Alligator River Marina. It's really a greasy spoon truck stop, with a marina out back. At least it's off the river and protected from the weather, and has a large field for Hooper to run.

Of course there's another small craft warning tonight into tomorrow morning. It's been following us ever since we left home. So we'll have to see what it looks like tomorrow before we head out.
