Oriental to Swansboro,NC

Today we had beautiful sunshine and it was warm. We both got a good sunburn today. Will have to put up the bimini. Today we saw our first pelican and palm tree. We saw numerous dolphin. Al got a chance to wash the boat.
On the VHF we heard a Navy warship issue a "securite" announcement and stated that they would be shooting artillery 6 miles off the coast. Later in the day we thought we were hearing thunder, but the loud booms in the distance were from the warship. It was louder than any fireworks show.
We pulled into Casper Marina in Swansboro, NC. Tomorrow we will go to Wrightsville Beach and see my old work buddy, Robin, from Good Sam Hospital.
