Georgia to Florida

We made it to Florida! It's sunny & warm. It was very windy today, but no problem on the ICW. We saw some really shallow water going through Jekyll Creek next to Jekyll Island. It actually felt like we were going through a 5 ft. deep mud puddle. It's recommended to go through this area only at high tide. Of course, we went through at low tide. At high tide it would have been 7-9 ft. deeper.

We saw wild horses on the beach on Cumberland Island. We went past the Navy's Kings Bay Submarine Base.

When we got to Florida, we wanted to stay at the Fernandina Harbor Marina, but were told that they had no inside slips because of dredging. So we anchored right across from the marina & used our dinghy to go to town.

Tomorrow we head for St. Augustine.
