Singer Island, Palm Beach, FL

"Holy shit, we made it to Palm Beach!" That's what Al said when we went under the final bridge & took a look at Singer Island. What a long trip & what a relief to see our second home. Now we will relax & enjoy the Florida weather. We can't wait to go for a swim.

We pulled into Cannonsport Marina & plan to stay awhile. On our canal at home our boat looks pretty big, but in this marina we look like a little peanut. We are trying to decide whether we will next head to the Bahamas or The Keys.

Fort Pierce, FL

The day started out sunny, warm, with no wind. It really was a beautiful morning. Later in the day the wind picked up to 25-30 mph from the southeast, the clouds moved in & it started to rain. We ran downstairs to run the boat from inside.

We pulled into the Fort Pierce City Marina. There were manatees right in the marina. We met our neighbors from Massapequa, Rich & Diana, for dinner.

Tomorrow we head for Singer Island in Palm Beach & will stay put for awhile.

Cocoa Village, FL

The day started off sunny & warm, but with a strong southeast wind. Later in the day clouds moved in & stayed with us. We had another easy cruising day with dolphin everywhere we look. We saw our first manatee. There were 3 together near the launch ramp where Al took Hooper for a walk.

We pulled into the Cocoa Village Marina. We keep seeing the same people, because everyone with trawlers goes about the same speed & tends to go about 50 miles per day. We begin to wonder who is following whom?

Tomorrow we head for Vero Beach.

Daytona Beach

We had another good day in Florida. Good weather & easy cruising. Not much to see but beautiful scenery, palm trees & dolphin.

We pulled into Halifax Harbor Marina in Daytona Beach. The restaurant at the marina has a live band & they sound really good. We feel like we're at a concert. We will head over there for dinner.

Tomorrow we head for Cape Canaveral.
