Delegal Creek

5/13/15
We had a long day. We've never been thrilled with Georgia. The water is muddy and shallow. We went through the Little Mud River an hour before low tide and there was only 4 ft. of water in the channel. It was like taking the boat through a mud puddle. That was very stressful, but we were happy to get through that section without hitting bottom. There aren't many marinas in this area or anchorages that are easy to take a dog to shore, so we kept going until we got to Delegal Creek Marina. We love this place. It's one of our favorite stops on the east coast. It's very beautiful and serene. The marina has a courtesy golf cart that we were able to use to explore the area and go to dinner. It was fun driving the golf cart on the trails through the community. Hooper first fell in love with golf cart rides when we were in the Bahamas, so we had to take him on a ride. We had dinner at the Village Bar & Grill, and the food was excellent.
