St. Augustine

4/12-13/15
Today was the first cloudy day we've had in weeks. It was 75 degrees, but felt cool because of the clouds. Looking at the forecast we know rain is on it's way. The forecast for the next 10 days is showing lot's of clouds and rain.

We took a side trip up the San Sebastian River. That's where the Mainship factory used to be and where our boat was made.

We then stopped at the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. It started raining soon after we were tied up.
A little while later a boat pulled in next to us. After they were tied up I started to hear a noise every few seconds coming from their boat that sounded like some kind of alarm. I went out to investigate. Turns out that they have an African Grey parrot on their boat. Whenever they go to a new port the parrot feels unsettled so he sounds the alarm. After a half hour he relaxed and stopped making the alarm noise and started whistling. I'm told that the bird can do a lot of talking and will bark like a dog if he sees Hooper.
