Marineland Marina

4/10-11/15
We had an easy cruising day and stopped at Marineland Marina. They have reasonable rates, a floating dock and the beach is right across the street, so we decided to stay an extra day. It feels good not to move the boat everyday. Al spent some time checking the generator and changed the fuel hose on the dinghy so it wouldn't kink again, while I cleaned the inside of the boat. Then we went exploring in the dinghy.

We heard there was a good barbeque place a few miles south of the marina. We took the dinghy to Captain's BBQ and Bait & Tackle. We thought that was an odd combination, but the food was great and well worth the trip.

On the trip back to the Marina we saw something in the water. It turned out to be a big snake swimming on the surface. I'm not sure, but after looking at pictures of snakes on Google, I think it might be a rattle snake.

We saw this on the TV show Pickers

It's a decommissioned Navy tugboat. It spent most of it's life in the Caribbean.
