Green Cove Springs

We left Palatka and went to Green Cove Springs. This is one of our favorite towns. They have a free dock with electric and water which is next to a park, and the town has a restaurant with great buffalo wings. There's been lots of action on the dock today as the local boaters stop for lunch, jump off the dock to cool off, and many other people come to the pier to go fishing.

We were happy to be securely tied to a dock when a thunderstorm with heavy winds blew through the area. It quickly passed and then it was much cooler out.

That's a big fuel tank from the space shuttle. Not sure why it's in Green Cove Springs.
