No more Bahama dreaming

We were all set to go to the Bahamas. We checked every weather source we knew about. Three different weather forecasts said today would be a good day to cross to the Bahamas and a forth source said it probably would be good if we left early. We headed out the inlet at 7AM. The wind was supposed to be out of the east, but instead it was out of the north making big waves in the Gulf Stream. All of the forecasts were wrong! We decided that the Bahamas were not meant to be for us this year. We turned the boat and headed north again.

We traveled in the ocean to Fort Pierce Inlet and went to the City Marina. I'm told that Fort Pierce is known as the Sunrise City. We had a great travel day. We saw dolphin, flying fish, big sea turtles, and several large schools of small fish. Al saw a large shark. He thinks it might have been a Bull Shark.

We had our Easter dinner at the Original Tiki Bar right at the marina. We both had fresh tuna, Al had tacos & I had a salad, and both were excellent.
