Went through the Peoria Lock without waiting too long. It was a short drop so we were allowed to just float in the middle. Had a rainy day of travel. The winds were blowing 25-30 mph, and there were white caps on the river. Went to Havana, Illinois and stayed at Tall Timbers Marina. The forecast was even worse for Wednesday so we decided to stay an extra day. Can't believe how much it rained overnight. With all the rain and high winds it felt like a hurricane. All the rain has risen the river level by several feet. We should get a good push downriver tomorrow from the current, but will have to watch out for extra debris.
Stuck in the mud because of all the rain.
