Chicago sightseeing

We finally found summer. The last two days have been sunny, warm, and beautiful. Yesterday we rode our bikes all the way to downtown Chicago and then along the Chicago River. At night we took a taxi to downtown to go to Giordano's to sample Chicago's famous deep dish pizza. I have to say we were very unimpressed. We may be prejudiced, but coming from New York, nothing beats New York pizza. Really nothing beats any food in New York.

Today we met up with Row & Gus, who also have a 40 Mainship, named Summerland. We took a taxi together into downtown & took a bus tour of a Chicago. We saw & learned a lot about Chicago.

Tomorrow we plan to travel with Summerland through the Chicago Lock & down the Chicago River. We're excited to be off Lake Michigan & traveling the calm river waters, even if we have to dodge tugs & barges.
