Key West

Left Marathon & planned to head to Key West on the Atlantic side. The wind was already blowing harder than expected & the ocean swell was rolling us pretty good already, so we decided to take the inside route & head down on the Gulf side. It started off calm, but got rougher & rougher as the day went by. We got tossed around pretty good & were delighted to finally reach the calm waters of the harbor.

We pulled into the A& B Marina, which is right in the middle of all the action at Key West. It's spring break & Key West is packed. It's an easy walk from the marina to Duval Street & Mallory Square. We used our bikes to explore the whole town. We're in Key West for Easter & Hooper's birthday.

This is the furthest south we plan to go on this trip. We're not ready to explore Cuba yet.
Plan to head to the Everglades when the wind dies down.
