Carrabelle

11/9-10/14
We went to Carrabelle to be in position to cross the Gulf Of Mexico 170 miles to Tarpon Springs. There are several other looper boats here to do the same thing. We all got together last night for docktails and to make travel plans. We plan to be with the group of boats that travel at 10 mph. We plan to leave at 5 PM with Average Looper, Our Last Boat & Untide. The fast boats left this morning at 7 AM. The slower group left at 2 PM. Originally the forecast for leaving today was perfect, but as usually that's not coming true. The wind and seas will be more than originally expected, so now we're just hoping we don't get beat up too bad. Now we're anxious to go, everyone has checked and rechecked their boats, and we're just waiting for our departure time.

Sunrise when we left Apalachicola.
